Open the front door and enter the vaulted entrance area that is lit by the large Oriel window. A custom-built open birch staircase takes you up to the first floor whilst a right turn leads you to the ground floor wet room, minimalist with first class fittings. Our thought for the main living area was to keep everything as open as possible, making the most of the superb light that streams into the house throughout the day. Under foot are limestone flagstones, constantly warmed by the under-floor heating system.

Brilliant views are framed by three sets of sliding doors. A lounge with two sofas is supplemented with a wall mounted HDTV that remains discrete. However, when evening comes and you have hopefully witnessed the sun dropping into the Atlantic - the system dominates as you would expect latest technology to do. A Scandinavian wood burner completes the cosy feel.

 

The ground floor is completed with the kitchen, placed in front of slate that comes from the quarry only five minutes up the road. A variety of crisp white kitchen cabinets are accompanied by an integrated dishwasher and range cooker, topped with cool black granite worktops. To the right of the main kitchen area we have returned the worktop creating a breakfast bar and office snug.

An internal door leads to a large utility area with tumble drier, washing machine and large sink.
